 The Gesellschaft für intelligente Energie- und Ressourcennutzung e. V. (iER-Association) was founded in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Institute for Energy Economics and Rational Energy Use (IER) at the University of Stuttgart.

The iER-Association aims to promote scientific research and exchange in the field of energy economics. To achieve this goal, the iER-Association regularly organizes lectures and events. These serve as professional development opportunities and provide a platform for scientific exchange between experts from the energy industry and members of the IER.
